In western countries, gasoline is getting expensive at an alarming rate. This causes people to divert their interest towards diesel cars rather than gasoline cars. Some people even try to convert their cars into diesel cars. Various countries have launched specific regulations regarding diesel cars. Few brand companies are gaining popularity for their diesel cars.

Diesel cars provide extra mileage compared to gasoline. The performance may vary between 30 to 40 percent. Diesel cars are comparatively more reliable and economic. Diesel cars can be a worthy investment since its resale value is increasing because people are interested in buying used diesel cars.

Diesel cars have the biggest requirements of the market. This can be contributed to its engine which is built to support the extreme stress of the combustion ignition process. Diesel cars do not have trouble related to ignition or sparkplug, which can be seen in gasoline cars.

So, because of the advantages of diesel cars, some motorists make a tendency to fill their car tanks with diesel instead of gasoline. The car may run at times but not always. The engine may damage or burst. It can prove to be an expensive treatment too.

On the other hand, if you have filled gasoline into your diesel car than a quick action has to be taken to secure the car engine. All the fuel has to be extracted from the tank, and than the additive should be put into the tank to remove the adulteration. Accelerate the car and than refill the diesel.

Identification between gasoline cars and diesel cars is done by the handles. They use green handle for gasoline and black handle for diesel cars. This identification helps in filling the required category of fuel in the car.

If you are planning to buy a used diesel car, then never forget to ask the owner about the maintenance of car. The ownership title should be clear. There should not be any litigation of ownership, the engine should not be repaired; the car should not be accidental. Never forget to ask the owner if he had ever put the wrong fuel in the tank. If so, how they came out of the situation. Did they have some repairs for the engine? If yes, then do not forget to ask for receipts and bills of repair.
