Time was not long ago that Japanese cars were associated, fairly or not, with being cramped and not suitable as family vehicles. This car’s got great use of space in spades, even if you’re tall!

Mercedes Does It Again

One of the top performers in the best gas mileage category is a German, the Mercedes E320 BLUETEC. If you throw an extra $1,000 towards the gas-powered model, you can have the diesel upgrade. With gas topping out at over $4/gallon, you can eat up this extra cost in no time. Instead, the diesel is seen as a great, environmentally sound alternative. And it’s a Mercedes, so you know it’s hot. It’s got a 3-liter V6, but plenty of zoom for whatever you require, including class.
